LEEC Research Laboratory inaugurated at the University of Buea

The Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Computing (LEEC) was officially inaugurated on 29 May 2026 at the University of Buea. The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together the Consul General of France in Douala, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Professor Pierre Tsafack, founder and director of the laboratory, presented the S-parameters measurement bench to the distinguished guests. The laboratory is the fruit of a long-standing Cameroon-France scientific partnership that has been developing since 2013. The laboratory operates under the guardianship of the University of Buea with key partners including INSA de Lyon and UCAC Douala. Its mission is research in engineering sciences for the local community, with a strong focus on electrical energy, smart agriculture and telecommunications.
